+1 ODDS DEFINITION
What does a spread of +1 mean?
A spread of +1 means that the team must either win or draw the game for the spread bet to win. If the team only loses the game by 1 this is known as a push, meaning the spread bet results in no winner or loser. In this case the bettor will be returned the stake of their original bet but won’t be paid out as a winner. A spread bet is a bet on the margin of victory with a handicap (or line) attached to it, in this case the handicap is +1.
