BETSLIP DEFINITION
What is a Betslip?
A Betslip in traditional terms refers to the piece of paper used to write down a wager. However, the modern Betslip is found online. Once a bettor's selection for the outcome of a market is selected, it will be transferred to the ‘Betslip’ where the bettor can stake their preferred amount.
What is a Betslip used for ?
A bettor can review all their potential bets in the betslip before placing them. This allows for bettors to review a combination of different stakes on different bets and view all the potential payouts before confirming their bets.
There can be multiple wagers within the Betslip. Depending on the rules set within the sportsbook for markets, a parlay can be created from the addition of multiple wagers to the Betslip.
Depending on the Sportsbook you use, the betslip can also act as a receipt / history log for all the bets you have previously placed.
Just like a ‘checkout’ or ‘cart’ on your favorite shopping site, the betslip acts as a cart for your bets. And the best way to get your cart rolling is by hitting a few winners! Toot toot!
