OUTLAW LINE DEFINITION
What is an Outlaw Line?
An Outlaw Line is an early line / spread which is not official. Sportsbooks will sometimes invite specific bettors to wager on the Outlaw Line before opening the market to the public. The Sportsbooks respect these experts and use their input to create the final Opening Line / Spread. This process is often referred to as ironing or flattening the line.
