Over/Under (or 'O/U', 'O-U') is a term used to describe a team (or teams) exceeding or failing to reach a particular Total set as one of the main betting markets. For example, if a Total was set at 201.5 points in the NBA between the Los Angeles Lakers and Memphis Grizzlies, a bettor can choose to bet on Over 201.5 points or Under 201.5 points. If the final score was Lakers (110) Grizzlies (100), there was a total of 210 points in the game and thus it went Over 201.5 points.
