What is a Drift in betting?
When the
odds of a team or
player increase, they are said to have Drifted. Drifting is usually a bad sign for a team or
player winning in that market (than originally expected) usually due to a lot of money going on the other side of the market or new information (such as weather or injuries) favoring the other team. If the Boston Bruins'
odds opened at -110 ($
1.91) and closed at +200 ($
3.00) their
odds have drifted. To see where teams have drifted (or come in sharply, that is, plunged), check out our
